Annie Piero, MAc., Dipl. Ac., L.Ac.

Annie is a Licensed Acupuncturist certified by the Colorado State Boards with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture from Colorado Chinese Medicine University in Denver, CO, completing a rigorous 2,400-hour program in 2024. Certified by the NCCAOM, she maintains the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and compassionate care.

Drawing from her extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and dedication to lifelong learning, Annie blends ancient wisdom with modern techniques. She is passionate about supporting patients through experiences like headaches and migraines, anxiety, depression, insomnia, mental and emotional trauma, digestive health, stroke, neuropathy, fibromyalgia, surgery recovery, trigeminal neuralgia, women's health, and pain management. She also has a special interest in methods such as trigger point therapy, Japanese-style acupuncture, and Dr. Tan Balance Method, integrating these approaches to enhance individualized care.

Annie creates a welcoming space where healing unfolds naturally, using only single-use, factory-sterilized needles with Clean Needle Technique certification for the highest level of safety. Her journey began with a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville and continues through advanced education to remain at the forefront of integrative medicine.

Her devotion to her craft is rooted in the belief that healing is a collaborative process—unique to each person and nurtured over time.

The name Aspen Tree Acupuncture is born from Annie’s deep, healing connection with the aspen trees themselves. Spending time among them—hiking, walking, sitting quietly beneath their shimmering, quaking leaves—offered a sense of calm and presence she had not experienced before. As she stepped into the world of Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, the aspens took on new meaning. Through the lens of the Five Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—she began to see their graceful transformation as a reflection of the cycles within us all. Like the aspen, we move through phases of life: from the fresh energy of spring, to the full vitality of summer, into the breathtaking shift of autumn as green leaves ignite into brilliant golds, reds, and oranges, and finally into the quiet stillness of winter that nourishes new beginnings. Aspen Tree Acupuncture honors this rhythm—of nature, of healing, of life itself.
